South Florida LMN Starts to Gain Momentum

South Florida LMN:
Getting to know your
area colleagues
Monica West of Business Centers International in Coral Gables, Florida, and David Jakubowski of Rockefeller Business Group, with a new center opening soon in Coral Gables, Florida, have started the South Florida Local Member Network of OBCAI.
The LMN had a modest start with just six attendees representing four OBCs in Miami-Dade County. With some wine, beer, sushi and other munchies, however, the LMN was off and running.
“Our second meeting was held December 2nd at Novecento, Coral Gables during happy hour in a great ambiance with outside seating with stronger attendance including two Internet brokers and an additional company,” said Monica. “We were able to clarify the issue of the parameters of the LMN – which had been an issue – deciding that the South Florida LMN would consist of Miami, Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach Counties.”
“We are currently in the process of reaching out to more OBCs to spread the wealth of knowledge and of being part of this great group! Our next meeting will be held in January at a Northern Location in the market to make it fair and to allow ourselves to get familiar with each other’s centers. In February we will meet at the Biltmore Hotel, the site of OBCAI’s 2010 conference with Richard Meyers,” said Monica.
“There are many benefits of working together in a friendly environment with others in our industry and sharing their great ideas. We look forward to implementing some of them soon.”
